Responding to grad student inquiry, Kines. support staff have set up a battery recycling station. It’s just a box for dead batteries on the shelf with the new batteries in the store room. When the box is full, staff will empty it at Vet Med, which has a recycling “tower,” see e.g. http://sustainability.wisc.edu/commonly-trashed-recyclables/. If you have been recycling your batteries by other means and want to continue, feel free. If you have “a better idea” for in-Nat battery recycling, let us know!
